The Re-Seasoning Coalition

The Re-Seasoning Coalition (TRSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the representation and propelling the advancement of Black Canadians across all levels of the foodservice industry through research, programming, and community engagement.

Proudly supported by Restaurants Canada - The voice of foodservice | La voix des services alimentaires

"CANADA IS FACING A MORAL AWAKENING IN HOW SOCIAL JUSTICE IS ACHIEVED... UNLIKE PAST SOCIAL ISSUES, CONSUMERS ARE DEMANDING THAT THE FOOD SERVICE INDUSTRY SPEAKS UP."
- Patrick Noone, Executive Vice-President, Technomic

The Canadian foodservice industry is facing an unprecedented labour shortage with employees involved in front of house, back of house, and the supply chain quitting at record rates.

The greatest opportunity for addressing these shortages is understanding the racial biases and structural inequalities that prevent multicultural Canadians from joining and thriving within the foodservice industry.

Just as a cast iron skillet needs to be re-seasoned regularly for optimum performance, the food industry needs to be re-calibrated for the highest grade of representation, service delivery, and innovation.

Businesses who are equipped to attract, retain, and promote underrepresented groups will lead the industry and get the highest ROI on their marketing dollars.

Taking an anti-racist approach to organizational policies will support your organization's bottom line and build better relationships with the communities you serve.
