The Black Experience Pavilion represents a ground-breaking initiative that is reshaping Canada’s foodservice landscape by dismantling systemic barriers, connecting Black entrepreneurs with industry decision-makers, and creating unprecedented opportunities for economic growth.

Created by The Re-Seasoning Coalition in collaboration with Foodpreneur Lab, the dynamic exhibit represents a ground-breaking initiative reshaping Canada’s foodservice landscape and creating unprecedented opportunities for inclusive, economic growth. For the third consecutive year, the Black Experience Pavilion will feature a Multicultural Marketplace to view and order products, a Demo Kitchen for product showcases, and two Sampling Stations – sponsored by Sysco – highlighting a curated roster of products.

This year, the Pavilion will also host two panel events open to all RC Show attendees:

  • Restaurant 101 on March 8th at 12:15 pm, an informative and engaging conversation showcasing the challenges and triumphs that come with being a successful, Black restaurant owner. With a focus on creating sustainable operations for new, current, or future restaurateurs, this is a must-attend session.

Featuring: Andy Fannis of Souperlicious, Jerome Robinson of The Heartbreak Chef, and Sasilka Shallangwa of SK Cookks

  • Dream Bigger on March 9th at 11:30 am, an inspiring discussion – powered by Farm Credit Canada – featuring three entrepreneurs sharing insights on how to successfully transition from small-scale retail production to national foodservice distribution. Curious about how far your business idea can go? This session is for you.

Featuring: Raquel Fox of Island Gurl Foods, Michael Burgess of Nerpy’s, Sarah Sekalala of Siika Foods
